Everex CloudBook - The Newest UMPC

August 4th, 2008

When it comes to Ultra-Mobile PC also known as the Mini Laptops, Asus Eee PC set the standard in affordability last year by offering consumers a stripped down machine that would fulfill all of their basic needs without the bloat of a traditional laptop. But now there’s a newest Ultra-Mobile PC that release by Everex Company which is the Everex CloudBook. With a price of $399 USD and widespread availability throughout Wal-Mart in USA. The Everex CloudBook matches the ultra-successful Asus Eee PC’s weight, screen abd keyboard size. They said that Everex CloudBook was an Asus Eee PC clone, and we don’t know that they borrow the concept from their class-forging cousin Asus Eee PC.

The Everex CloudBook has a 7-inch pixel display, 1.2GHz processor, 30GB HD, Ethernet Port, 802.11g/b Wifi Ready, DVI, 2 USB Ports, Audio line-out/line-in and 4in1 Media Card Reader. It operates on a 4-Cell Lithium-ion battery that is rated to offer two-and-a-half to three hours of use. The dark black plastic shell of Everex CloudBook is the same as Lenovo ThinkPad Notebooks. Considering the small form factor of the CloudBook and the ultra low voltage VIA processor as you expected that the Everex CloudBook produce a little in the way of heat and noise. The processor cooling fan is always running on the low, medium or high settinf when it plugged in.
